The countdown has begun. Just three days untill the collaboration between H&M and Fashion house Maison Martin Margiela hits select stores Thursday November 15th! Luckily for us Chicago fashion lovers H&M on State St. and the one Michigan Ave. will be carrying this capsule collection.
Margiela is a household name in the fashion world, loved by celebrities and fashionistas alike. Even crossing over into mainstream hip-hop, ” What’s that jacket, Margiela?” a much quoted line from the Kanye West and Jay-Z chart topper “N**a’s in Paris,” this fashion house designs for the bold and outlandish, most definitely not a look for the faint of heart.
The H&M capsule collection will feature “re-editions of iconic Maison Martin Margiela garments and accessories for men and women.” The thing I love the most is each item comes with a specialized tag noting the season and year it originated. The collection will included pieces spanning the 23 years since Margiela’s inception.
